Travel program

Gathering at the Eleftherios Venizelos Athens airport and direct flights operated by Aegean for Manchester. Arrival at Manchester and immediately depart with destination Edinburgh. First stop on our trip is the beautiful area of ​​the English lakes namely Lake Windermere, the largest lake in the Lake District National Park and the village Bones, one of the finest lakeside resorts where you will board the boat and after a cruise 35 minutes to get to Ambleside. After breakfast we will depart for the picturesque village of Pitlochry which is known to visitors for its whiskey distilleries as well as brown trout farming. We will have time to have lunch and to visit traditional Scottish distillery "water of life". Next stop on our current trip the famous Blair Castle. After breakfast we will depart for the port of Cairnryan where we will board the ferry that will take us to Belfast. The journey lasts 2 hours 15' minutes and crossing the Irish sea we will reach Belfast and immediately begin our acquaintance with the turbulent capital of Northern Ireland which managed after 30 years of turmoil to transform into a real surprise city. We will tour the city center enjoying its sights such as the Municipal Palace, the Linen Hall Library, the famous Belfast Opera House, Queen's University , the Cathedral of Agia Anna , the leaning clock tower dedicated to Prince Albert and many other attractions that our leader will lead us through narrations to real events and stories. After the end of the tour we will have free time to walk around the city center. In the afternoon departure for Dublin and our hotel. Settling into rooms and without delay we will depart for a tour of Temple Bar. Known as the west bank of Dublin and a famous area for "The Deviations" , an outdoor cultural event that lasts all summer. Full of bars, coffee shops, pub , restaurants but also attractions such as the City Hall, the Millennium Bridge , the merchant's arch and Meeting House Square which forms the center of Temple Bar, the concert venue, outdoor film screenings and the Saturday food market. After breakfast we will depart for our tour of the Irish capital. Our tour guide will first lead us to the north side of the river Liffey which runs through the city passing famous places such as the cultural center of James Joyce who wrote the epic "Ulysses", the central Post Office building , focus of the Easter revolution , the amazing Customs building, Parnell Square which is home to excellent museums and art galleries , O'Connell Street , one of the widest streets in Europe with plenty of classical buildings and famous statues to decorate it, the Jameson Whiskey Distillery and more. We will then cross to the south side of the river passing Ireland's most important university, Trinity College. We will visit the National Museum of Ireland which reflects the history of the country through historical and archaeological exhibits of the prehistoric , of early Irish civilization up to its violent conflict 1916-22. After the end of our visit we continue through the neighborhoods of the Georgian period of the 18th century with a panoramic view of the National Gallery, the Natural History Museum and the 13th century Dublin Castle, Oscar Wilde's house and passing Christ Cathedral, the first Dublin church founded in 1038 we will arrive at St. Patrick's Cathedral , the national cathedral of the Protestant Church of Ireland and made famous by its presbyter Jonathan Swift who wrote "Gulliver's Travels". Of course, we will not miss to see the neighborhood that hosts the buildings of the famous Guinness black beer, Europe's largest brewery. After the end of our tour, free time. Overnight

After the rich Irish breakfast we will depart for County Cork. First stop on our journey is the Rock of Kassel. Probably the most photographed monument in Ireland is one of the country's most important attractions. Very close to Cork is the small town of Cobh, intertwined with shipbuilding and navigation, very picturesque, which was called as the independence of Ireland Queenstown.
