Meeting at the airport and flight to Prague. Arrival and after being picked up by our leader and guide we will transfer by coach to the city center to start our tour , by foot, to the sights of the city . We will start with Mala Strana (Malá Strana) which is one of the oldest historical districts of Prague. Literally means "Little Part" , but better rendered as "Small Town", as it is a small place on the left bank of the Vltava River, below Prague Castle, in contrast to the larger areas of Prague on the right bank of the river. We will wander through the picturesque streets where we will admire the old buildings ,the churches , the cobbled baroque square and its trademark, the church of Agios Nikolaos. Time at our disposal for coffee . We will continue our tour by crossing to the opposite bank, traversing the medieval, stone-paved Charles Bridge, also called "Avenue of Statues", from 30 statues of saints and rulers that adorn it from one end to the other. We will still see the Jewish quarter (Yosefov) where only six synagogues remain , the old cemetery and the old Jewish Town Hall. We will end our tour today with the Old Town (Old Town) where we will see the large Square with the statue of Jan Hus and around it the Old Town Hall , the Astronomical Clock and finally the Gunpowder Tower . Transfer to the hotel, settling in the rooms after first having lunch at a local restaurant in the center and free time. Overnight.
Breakfast and your day free. We recommend a full-day excursion to the most baroque city in Germany, Dresden, the "Florence" of the Elbe River. The city has a long history as the main and royal residence for the kings of Saxony. Its bombing and total destruction during World War II completely changed the face of the city. Rebuilt as a socialist city , Dresden now presents a completely new image as many of the historic buildings have been rebuilt to impress even the most difficult visitor. Some of them are the Semperoper, the famous Zwinger (Zwiger – palace of the Kings of Saxony) , the church of Panagia , the famous long wall 102 measures , made with 24.000 Meissen porcelain tiles etc. The 2004 UNESCO declared Dresden and the Elbe River Valley a World Heritage Site. Return to Prague . Overnight.
Breakfast followed by a full-day excursion to the beautiful spa town, Karlovy Vary, which almost sounds like a legend in the north, where mountains, forests and villages pass our eyes on the route like a picture book. The beautiful spa town will impress us with its greenery, the gurgling waters and the magnificent buildings. Our guided tour is on foot and lasts about an hour. On our tour we will see the Imperial Infirmary, the City Theatre, the arcades and peristyles of various architectural styles, which house the thermal springs, the natural geyser and the Russian church on the edge of town, next to the forest. After the tour free time to enjoy your walk along the river, or for shopping (source of Bohemian crystals) and coffee. We will then have lunch at a local restaurant and return to the hotel. Overnight.
Breakfast and departure for Prague Castle located in the Hracany district and one of the largest and oldest castles in the world and the oldest seat of the Czech Kings. Today it is the seat of the President of the Republic, historical and cultural center of the city and the state. We will admire the Cathedral of Vittos , the spiritual symbol of the Czechs and the most characteristic landmark of the Castle. We will also see the Basilica of St. George and the library of Stachov. Time to have lunch at a local restaurant in Castropolis and then walk down the golden alley or Alchemists street with historic houses displaying medieval armor and selling tourist souvenirs. Also at the castle gate every hour people gather to see the changing of the guard. Back at the hotel . Overnight.
Breakfast and free day to enjoy a hot drink in one of the city's cafes or stroll through its shopping streets and enjoy Prague Square , where you will find picturesque arcades and historic buildings. Join the crowd to witness the Astronomical Clock and its distinctive strikes. Then departure for the airport and return flight.
